The Southern Combo Mountain Bike Ride
The southern Combo mountain bike ride goes from Sutherland to Helensburgh. It combines the Royal National Park, Heathcote National Park, Waterfall Track and Helenburgh track. The combination of all the trails is 26km. However you can make this as long as you like if you take a few detours.
The mountain bike ride from Heathcote to Waterfall is fairly crappy. However the rest of it is excellent. You have the option to do the return trip which is over 50km’s. If your not quite up to the 50km’s, once you get to Helensburgh you can get the train back Sutherland.
Loftus Oval is a good starting place. You can head directly into the Royal National Park from there and your on your way.
The rating for this MTB ride is 4 stars. It’s quite enjoyable combining all the different southern tracks into one long ride.
