Granite Tors Bushwalk.
If your into large lumps of granite, beautiful country drive, numerous kangaroos, and scenic valley views then the Granite Tors bushwalk is probably right up your alley.
Granite Tors bushwalk is around 8.5km return and located in Namadgi park. The drive out there feels like your 1000’s of kilometers away from everything. Once you reach Namadgi National park you need to be a bit careful driving. There are kangaroos all over the place.
The trail head is located at towards the backend of the toilet shed. It’s not obvious your on the track until about 100m into the walk where you’ll come across some signposts pointing you in the correct direction. On the way up you’ll come across numerous granite formations. I guess that’s no surprise granting the name of the track.
It quite steep getting to the top so a little fit of fitness is required. Once you reach the end of the trail you’ll come across an old observatory. Up a little bit from the observatory is a railed lookout and more lumps of granite. The views are fantastic.
I’ll give this bushwalk 4 stars.
