Costens Point, Royal National Park
Costens Point, Royal National Park is either a short bushwalk or mountain bike ride. The trail is shared by both. Though with it being so short it’s probable best suited to a bushwak. The trail leads down to Hacking River and is only about 1.5km. At the end of the trail there is a picnic area that overlooks Hacking River. There are better bushwalks to do in the Royal National Park. But if your pushed for time it’s a nice quick one.
About 100m into Costens Point trail there are 2 side trails. One leads to Anice Falls and the other leads to Maianbar. Heading towards Maianbar there is a loop track you can do. You can also bushwalk your way down to Red Jacks Point.
In the other direction you’ll head towards Anice Falls. Anice Falls is about an 8km return trip from this point. Though the track is fairly overgrown in parts which some people don’t enjoy. I’ve done the bushwalk in this direction and didn’t mind it. Your surrounded by dense shrub for most of the way.
The pictures and youtube clip below give you an idea of what the track is like.

The youtube clip below is of the Costens Point fire trail in the Royal National Park. I was lucky enough to spot a deer on the day I did this walk. though it was only for a brief second before it took off into the bushes.
