Cascade Falls Bushwalk.
Cascade Falls trail is an easy 2km return walk. The trail head is located at the bottom of Macquarie Pass.
This is an excellent trail to get children involved in bushwalking. Adults will also also enjoy what this mini hike has to offer which takes you through rain forest filled with giant Red Cedar trees. These beasts are spectacular. It’s a shame they where so heavily logged in the Illawarra region. This walk does give you a glimpse of what the area would have looked like before European settlement.
And at the end you are rewarded with cascade falls.
Even though this is a short 2 km walk it has plenty on offer and I’d highly recommend checking it out. On the offer side of the road is the trail head for jump rock. For the fitter hikers it works out well to do the combinations of jump rock and cascade falls on the same day.
Enjoy.
