Audley, Engadine Bushwalk Royal National Park
When I was mountain bike riding around the Royal National Park a few walking tracks caught my eye. There was one that started at Gray’s point, went down to Audley then up to Engadine. Also known as the Audley, Engadine bushwalk. I decided to give it a go. To my surprise the walk was only around 10km’s. I initially thought it would be a lot longer then that.
So glad I did this one. It beat all my expectations. I started the bushwalk next to Grays Point Public School. See the map for details of the trail head. The start was ordinary and I was wondering what I’d gotten myself into. The walk from Gray’s Point to Port Hacking River was a hard steep climb down. This bit wouldn’t be recommended for 80 year olds. But once you got down to the bottom it leveled out and was excellent.
The bushwalk along the Port Hacking river was what bush walking is all about. This is a superb part of the Royal National Park with a very enjoyable track to bushwalk on. The walk also offers great views of the Hacking River. I enjoy getting the kayak out on the Hacking River as well. If your interested in kayaking the link below is for kayaking on the Hacking River:

So this part of the Royal National Park has something for everyone.
Once you get to Audley it’s a steady walk up to Engadine. This part of the walk was also great. Crossed a small creek and strutted through scenic forest. Maybe bush is a more appropriate word.
The track ends right at Engadine Station. So there is easy transport once your there.

Google Link Map. Start the bushwalk on the fire trail next to Grays Point public school. Take the left turn heading towards Hacking River. Or if you want to avoid that steep section at Grays Point you can also start the bushwalk at Audley in the Royal National Park.
